Getting There

Security Setup can be accessed from the Main menu.  Select => Maintenance | Security Setup

Description

By default, Turbo Title for Windows user security features are disabled allowing employees access to all parts of the program.  When security is enabled, users must login to the program on startup.  The security setup allows a system administrator to set passwords and limit user access to only authorized portions of the program.  For more information about security features or security configuration refer to the Turbo Title for Windows System Administrator manual or contact Wasatch Data, LLC.

Adding new program access fields:

You can add different program access fields by selecting the New button or by pressing Alt + N. A new, blank function, with a drop-down menu will appear at the bottom of the list. You are then able to select the part of the program that you wish to add restrictions for. Note that this list changes from security level to security level.

Security levels:

You can switch through levels using the radio buttons with the different security level numbers by them.  Checking the box by a function will allow all users with clearance for that level of access to use that portion of the program.  Checking the  box by the users name will assign the user to the security level that is currently being viewed.

Adding and Editing Employees:

Switch to the Employee Setup screen by pressing the Employees button at the top or press Alt + E. You can now create and edit employee information and credentials.

To close Press Exit.
